More Kacy Fun Facts

Kacy has turned into a walking, talking machine. She also has Riddler characteristics, as she is full of questions.
"What that noise, Mommy?"
"Where we going, Mommy?"
"What are you doing, Mommy?"

She has gotten much better with her alphabet and counting, and can say more of each in a row on her own. Her favorite song to sing is still "Twinkle, Twinkle" (the words are more audible now, she had the tune before but now we can make out actual words) and her favorite song to be sung is, "You are my Sunshine", aka the Sunshine Song.

She loves shoes (Mommy's girl), whether they are her own, her cousin Katrina's (pictured); or Mommy's. She can get her socks and shoes off, and does a pretty good job of getting them back on on her own, and sometimes the shoes end up on the correct feet!

Her favorite meal is dessert, but "real food" faves include pasta, bananas, raisins and cheese.

TV is quickly becoming more interesting to her--she loves "Dora the Explorer", "Max and Ruby", "Sesame Street" and "Barney"--though we try to limit the amount of time we watch the latter due to the fact that the show still makes Mommy crazy, 13 years after the last time she watched it while babysitting.

Favorite activities include undressing her baby dolls (not a one in the house or in the cars has clothes on at the moment), swimming (as seen on the blog throughout the summer) and kicking a ball around. Bets around the house are that she'll be a soccer player. We shall see. After the Olympics and Baltimore's Michael Phelps' performance, we might be hightailing it to the North Baltimore Aquatic Center :)

For now, those are all the tidbits we have to share. We are off to spend a fun (and not too rainy) Labor Day weekend at Aunt Susie and Uncle Byron's house in Williamsburg, where Boots and GrandDan will fly in from Arizona to play too. Better get packing!

Hanging with the Carnes Gang

Mom's sorority sister Michelle came to Maryland (from Nebraska!) to spend time with her family. Last night, mom and Kacy took a ride to Arnold (outside Annapolis) to play with George and Kaitlyn Carnes.

Anniversary Weekend

Kicking off mom and dad's 5th wedding anniversary on Saturday with a splashing good time at the club with John Scot.

Firefighter Kacy Claire to the rescue.
We headed back up to Boordy Vineyards with the Wolfes to listen to a fun reggae band and further celebrate.

Reading with Daddy...
...and practicing for the 2024 olympics gymnastics gold medal (no, no tumbling yet but clearly she wants to).
Kacy found a fence and decided it was worth climbing.
And then she got through and dad wasn't sure how he'd get her back over, but he did.

Pretty sunset.

Kacy and John Scot were given some fun glow stick bracelets. It provided minutes' worth of enjoyment.
Sunday and an at-home pool day.

Future Terp

Another trip to College Park, this time for a mom and Kacy haircut combo with Dona. We got there early so we took a quick walk around the front of campus.

We then headed to Silver Spring for an ADPi reunion.

She then played on, and took inventory of, the coolers.

Back on Track

Mom was back in town for the weekend. Kacy enjoyed checking out the Nordstrom August mailer...playing Let's Find Mom's Shoe.

We went to the club to have lunch with the Wolfes on Saturday.
Jack and his parents came over for dinner Saturday night.

Kacy found a Santa hat and decided August was a good time to wear it.
In the car on the way to the playground at BYC on Sunday.

Ronald McDonald made an appearance at the McDonald's by us, and Kacy enjoyed watching the show.

She was ok for her one-on-one meeting...

But then got all shy when it came time for her picture. Oh well.
