It was another rainy weekend, and we made the best of it. Kacy loves her some popcorn.

She enjoyed playing blocks with Daddy.

She also enjoyed knocking the blocks down.

Yesterday, mom was unpacking boxes of clothes for Kacy from storage and found this kitty cat backpack. She's ready for school!

Not bad for a low key weekend. As you can see, the camera is ALWAYS at the ready.

More Williamsburg Fun

Another trip to Williamsburg this past weekend, this time to rendesvous with Aunt Lacey and Uncle Nate, who flew in from Florida to go to a friend's wedding nearby.

Kacy stayed home with Susie and Byron, enjoying some Princess Spaghetti-O's; the adults hit Colonial Williamsburg. Nate tried breaking into a wee Revolutionary house...

...which happened to be the cobbler.
GrandDan and Boots' colonial nightmare--Libby and Lacey in the pillory posts.
Dinner at one of the taverns in CW, complete with Virginia peanuts.

We did a haunted ghost tour that evening. We aren't positive, but we think the highlight for Lacey was smooching Thomas Jefferson.
Sunday AM...

Kacy telling us what sound a tiger makes.

She was very excited when Susie gave her a "drum" to play with.

It all started so innocently. Kacy went outside with Uncle Nate to catch bugs with her net.

Then she discovered that Byron had turned on the sprinklers.

Our ice cube (temps were in the mid-70s that day, the water not much warmer than that).

Time for the great bubble chase.

Kacy decided that sopping wet clothes were weighing her down.
Trying to blow bubbles for herself. Thankfully, they are non-toxic. The wand mostly ended up in her mouth.

Hot Times at the Maryland Renaissance Festival

We spent the morning at the Renaissance Festival. A hot and humid morning, but we made the best of it.

John Scot Wolfe and his parents joined us, too.
Kacy playing with bubbles...
...and saying hi to Baby Abby Gehring, who rounded out the trio.
We found the ponies and Kacy loved her first ride.

Daddy won his round at the axe throw, and bestowed Lady Kacy with his "medal".

Lunch included the obligatory turkey leg (for Daddy) but Kacy thought it was yummy also.

JS, Abby and Kacy with the mommies, post lunch (bottle for Abby, fried mac n cheese for the ones with teeth.)
Daddy, G-Money and Dustin taking a turn at blow darts.

Kacy wanted to go back for round two with the "horsies". Who were we to deny her?
