Morning Fun

We have some pretty good times in the morning before everyone rushes out the door. Kacy likes to put lotion on herself...she didn't realize that she'd put gobs of it on her face. It was pretty funny.

Yesterday, she rocked the new sunglasses mommy and daddy bought for her the other night. Someone is ready for Arizona.

Hanging with her twin Dora mermaid dollies. She calls them Lila and Alexis, like her god sisters.

It's never too late to celebrate St. Patty's Day, in Kacy's book.
This morning we were greeted with spring rain (more of a mist, but rain nonetheless). Kacy was happy to don her "ladybuggy" rain coat (notice she also wore her "ladybuggy" shirt yesterday. Coincidence?)

Spring Weekend Fun

Spring arrived Friday morning, and mom showed dad and Grandpa that the whole egg-standing-on-end thing on the vernal equinox is true. Unfortunately, when they tried, they had no luck. Mom must have picked the lucky egg.

And down goes said egg.

Kacy excited about the pineapple dad is about to cut up.

Kacy accepted the cookie-dough eating task Saturday morning while mom baked.

We went to the Mansolillos to watch Maryland play Memphis (not well mind you). Dave took a turn holding Cate Levine.

Miss Cate.

Kacy checking out the baby.

Playing with all of Jack's fun toys.

Sunday morning brought a little Baltimore stoop-sitting for Kacy. We were meeting some of mom's college friends for lunch on a pretty spring day.

Lunch also gave us a chance to meet Zach Zelechoski, mom's friend's Sara's son, born at the end of December. Here is ZZ getting some zzz's. (Hee hee).

After lunch, we walked to Leslie's (on the right) house downtown and checked out the views from her fun rooftop deck with Nichole (left). Note Kacy making her scary face.
In keeping with the spring/new beginnings theme, Kacy spent last night sleeping in her big girl bed for the first time. So far, so good. She (as far as we know) didn't get out once!

Top O' The Morning To Ya

Kacy showing her Irish spirit this morning before breakfast.

She also has two more friends to welcome!
Kylie Elizabeth Farrell was born to mom's sorority sister Jess and her husband Mike in New Jersey on March 5th.

Julianna Jean Porco was born yesterday in Norwalk, Connecticut to mom's middle/high school friend Sarah, husband Stefan and big sister Isabella!
In other new baby news, reports say that the Sheehan twins (link to their blog in the upper righthand corner, under Kacy's favorite sites) get to go home this Thursday. Yippee! Overachievers already.

Midweek Surprise Post

Daddy took some shots of Kacy just waking up this morning. She surprisingly went along with it. Not sure she will be thrilled 10 years from now.

And because this is just too cute...a picture from Kacy's godsisters Lila and Alexis meeting again this week, 12 days after being born.

What a Difference a Few Days Makes

Well, Monday morning we woke up to snow and by Friday night, we had shed our coats and gloves and were basking in spring-like 65 degree weather. Hopefully we've seen the last of winter.
Kacy ready for dinner up at the yacht club Friday night (yes the anchor shirt was intentional).

Giving the Sit n Spin a whirl.
Saturday afternoon we hung out with Amy and John Scot Wolfe. We did a bit of shopping then stopped for lunch at Cracker Barrel.

Saturday night, the warm temps continued so, joined by Shelley and Jack Mansolillo, the kids hit the playground at BYC. We were anxiously awaiting the drunk bus (land cruise) containing the daddies and friends to return.

Kacy and Jack racing down the slide.

Jack getting ready for another turn down the slide.

The boys mastering climbing.

Sunday morning Kacy thought she'd tool around for a bit in Grandma's DJP boots.

She needs to work on walking in heels, but all in all, not a bad try.
