Memorial Day Fun

Memorial Day weekend means time spent at the yacht club, as it is their grand opening weekend.

This year, they had a moonbounce, which Kacy wore herself out in.

At dinner on Saturday night, we had some corn on the cob. Kacy's first time tackling it went surprisingly well...and was quite fun to watch.

Grant Wolfe wasn't quite ready.

After dinner, we went back to the club to watch Dad and Grandpa in the annual skit. Kacy and John Scot were more interested in running around.

Time to dance. Kacy and John Scot enjoyed the opening set of country band The Rob Byer Band.

Sunday Kacy participated in the opening cermonies as part of the Princess Court. She walked with her cousin Katrina.

Relaxing after a busy weekend, Kacy read a bit on Monday morning.

She hopes everyone had a great holiday weekend!

Congratulations, Aunt Mary!!

She made it! Aunt Mary is officially a college graduate as of just a few minutes ago. Kacy is very proud of her...and thinks she's the most beautiful dancer ever!!!!

Happy Memorial Day weekend to all, mom and dad hope to take lots of pics this weekend to account for Kacy's comings and goings.

Just What Kacy and Mommy Wouldn't Want to See While Taking a Walk

Because it just totally freaked Mommy out when she opened the picture in her email this morning...she wanted to post it. GrandDan's friend came upon these two "friends" while walking in Tuscon recently.

Holy cr*p.

For the record, Mommy hates snakes.

Home Sweet Horne

That's right, folks. After two long years, Kacy might actually be moving back into a home of her own. While the photo depicts her actual dollhouse, she and her parents are hoping the finished project will be able to house more than just her Dora the Explorer figurines (the current occupants of said house).

We are starting a new blog, http://www.homesweethorne.blogspot.com/, which will detail all the trials and tribulations that come along with homebuilding. Add it to your Google Reader or other favorite blog updater...We promise to update it as was have any new info/pics. Many of you have shared in Kacy's woes of trying to sell her first home ever (the condo in Connecticut) and finding a new home in Baltimore. Now you can share in the joy (pain?) of having a house built.

Cate's Welcome Ceremony

We attended Cate Levine's welcome ceremony Saturday (a combo baptism/naming ceremony with a great priest/rabbi duo) in Silver Spring.

Abby Gehring is very close to walking on her own, and used Kacy to stay upright during the party.

A decent attempt at getting a photo of Jack, Kacy and Abby.

The Gehring family.

The Mansolillos.

And this would be the best of the bunch for the Horne family.

The Adventures of Kacy and Jack

Kacy spent a fun weekend at the Mansolillos while mom and dad went to NYC to see Aunt Mary's final college dance performance. She and Jack had a great time hanging out...

Fun times in the car.
Jack just cracks Kacy up.

Tuckered out after a fun day.

Bubble time...

Lunch al fresco. They allegedly ate 5 pieces of pizza between them. Having so much fun works up quite an appetite.

Kacy had a great time and thanks Tony, Shelley and Jack for letting her crash...and thanks Shelley for sharing her pics!

From the Heat to the Rain...

The 80+ degree days finally broke and brought...rain. Between showers on Saturday, mom and dad took Kacy to the fair at the church near the house (technically our church, if we went to mass...shh don't tell God). She rode on her first carnie ride, the flying elephants, and survived. (No worries, mom rode too.)

On the way out the 'rents thought putting Kacy in a tree for a photo op was a good idea.

Kacy very quickly wanted to know how to get down. Maybe heights won't be her thing.

Sunday mom and Kacy drove to Arnold to celebrate Kaitlyn Carnes' 1st birthday with her.

Kacy patiently waiting for cake. She loves cake.

Kaitlyn, mom Michelle and brother George blow out the candle.

Time to dig in finally.

There's nothing like watching a 1-year-old attack birthday cake. A bath quickly followed.
