Father's Day Fun

Kacy played a little ball with Great-Grandpa Joe before he left Baltimore for some time spent in Vermont last week.

Daddy picked a (not pickled) pepper...Kacy showing off Daddy's first "pick" of the season, from his garden. The one upside to what seems like constant-rain of late: Daddy's garden is growing very nicely.

Saturday night we hit BYC for their annual Father's Day cookout. We enjoyed ribs, hot dogs, potato salad and an ice cream sundae bar. To work some of that off, Kacy spent some time on the playground.

Kacy finally scored a helmet for her bike...My Little Ponies helmet, Dora bike: a mix of genres, but KC is fine with it. Her helmet "set" also came with a horn. A very loud horn. Mom put it on not long after this pic was taken. We are contemplating it being removed also.

Kacy got Daddy the smoker he's been wanting for Father's Day; he tried it out last night, complete with smoking some of his garden-grown peppers. The ribs and chicken were very yummy!

Daddy's dream Father's Day--Kacy told him she wanted to go fishing. Off to BYC we went. The Daddy/Kacy combo caught two small sunnies and a decent-size catfish.

Reeling in the first of the sunnies...

A lollipop and her first catch, what a fun day.

Going in for the smooch (Daddy's prodding totally)

A good luck kiss before sending him back into the basin.

Rounding out the busy weekend, Kacy enjoyed some watermelon.

A Kacy Performance

Kacy loves her nursery rhymes, and she and Grandma spent time perfecting this little ditty, for your viewing pleasure. Mom and Dad proudly present Kacy's interpretation of "Little Miss Muffet".

Boats and Hons

Kacy enjoyed taking a boat ride on Saturday with the Gorman and Wolfe clan. We headed over to Fairlee Creek for some fun in the sun.

John Scot playing with the shells.

Kacy had some watermelon and clearly enjoyed it.

Grant Wolfe liked the boat ride...it put him to sleep!

Kacy tried on Dad's sunglasses.

John Scot also fell asleep almost as soon as the boat took off from the dock.

Sunday we headed to Honfest in Baltimore to see all the Hons and have some fun fair food. Kacy and mom enjoyed a potato stack, complete with grease on the plate.

Kacy goes fishin'

On Sunday, Kacy and her friend John Scot went fishing at BYC .... this was a first for both of them.

She may look like her mom but Kacy is definately her daddy's girl.

Captain Richard assisted Kacy with her lure selection.

"A feeesh a feeesh... Daddy I caught a feeesh!"

This small carp is Kacy's first fish ever! She was great at reeling it in... with a little help from dad.

(Over the next few photos watch her face change as the fish wiggles free of her grip)

"Hey little guy.... where ya goin?"

"Look out .... its comin right for us!"

....FREAKOUT!!! (Yes this is Kacy's terrified look.)

Is this a happy fisherman or what!?!

Dustin and John Scot definately hooked the largest fish of the day ...unfortunately it was way too strong for the line on JS' SpongeBob SP rod and got away.

The largest catch of the day was this nice Catfish... or as Kacy will tell you "Thats a Uuuugly feesh".

A mother Osprey kept a very watchful eye on the group all day.

Sun and Fun in June

Kacy has started summer off right by playing outside as much as possible.

One of Daddy's friends asked him this past weekend "Does Kacy ever walk?" to which he received an accurate and prompt reply of "Never, she only runs".

A Bouncing Good Time

Kacy was invited to a fun "bounce around" (as she likes to call it) party on Saturday at Jumparty, for her daycare friend Noah, who turned 2.

She tried really hard to climb up these rock-climbing wall-like steps but without much luck. The bigger kids at the party were happy to push her along.

Happy girl made it to the top, getting ready to go down the slide.

Now this is a ladder Kacy could sort of get the hang of. She did it mostly by herself, but sometimes had help from the bigger kids, too.

You know that Kacy loves her some cupcakes...Happy birthday, Noah!
