"Back Home Again...In Indiana"

We flew for a weekend get-together with the Allen clan in Terre Haute. Kacy got a big girl backpack for the occasion and was excited to line up for her spot in line to get a seat on our Southwest flight to Indy.

We stopped by to check out Boots and GrandDan's alma mater, also in Terre Haute.

Sunday the gang hung out at Deming Park. The weather really cooperated (July in Indiana can be brutal) as it was overcast, low 80s and even better, low humidity! Kacy and her cousins (and a revolving door of accompanying adults) took many rides on the park's train.

Kacy and her cousin Caitlin spent lots of time together and were clearly very excited.

We get a brief respite from travel this weekend...hopefully something photo-worthy takes place :)

Beach Fun

We found a new family favorite vacation spot (and only an hour away from home, to boot!)--Herrington Harbour! Kacy and her friend John Scot were in need of a nap after the drive, checking out the place and lunch.

The resort had a bonfire Saturday night. All we were missing was marshmallows!

Sunday, the Wolfes and Hornes hit up the water park down the way in Chesapeake Beach.

Robie and Holly Horne's Wedding

We drove to Richmond on Sunday for a Horne wedding, Dave's cousin Robie and his bride, Holly. We stopped at Crazy Greek, a Horne favorite, for some lunch.

Kacy literally got into her pasta and butter.

All cleaned up and wedding-ready, we waited for the festivities to start. The site was beautiful, the Mill at Fine Creek in Powhatan, Virginia.

The ceremony...Kacy made it through about 5 minutes and then had to be escorted inside as she kept creeping closer and closer to the action.
