A bit of catch up from last weekend--Kacy at the pool last Saturday. Rocking her Elton John-esque glasses of course.

This weekend, we had a dinner party at the house so Daddy could try his hand at making chicken scarp for a crowd. Shelley, Tony and Jack brought flowers which Kacy gladly took.

Abby and Cate playing.

Amy and Grant.

Cate showing off her latest skill--crawling.

John Scot loved Kacy's true Mardi Gras beads.

Kacy practicing her babysitting skills with Grant.

During dinner, the "big kids" had a Dora marathon. Sometime after this photo the chair Jack and Kacy are sitting in somehow got turned over. No one wanted to take credit for that trick.

Yesterday we headed to the pool.

Baltimore Through and Through

Kacy requested that she wear her Ravens gear on Thursday, as it was their first pre-season game (vs. the Redskins...and of course the Ravens won). She completed the outfit with her very own "hon" glasses.

I suppose I owe a Kacy update. She is currently 2 years, 9 months. She has moved on from her crib-turned-daybed big girl bed to a full-size twin, complete with pillow top mattress. She needs a stool to get up there, but gets in and out of bed with little trouble.
She continues to talk (and talk and talk) and come up with some very funny phrases. She is a sponge, pays attention to everything and has pretty good recall (both handy and troublesome, depending on the case).
Latest fun trick: she can do a somersault (flip, as she calls it). Gymnastics, anyone?

More New Friends!

Mommy is a bit behind the ball, but wanted to welcome Kacy's new friend Penny Gallagher, born July 2 in NYC. Mommy got to visit her on Wednesday. Parents are mom's sorority sister Nicky (Nicky Boone!) and Kevin Gallagher.

Today, Kacy's newest friend Siena Grace Moore was born in Baltimore. Mom is mommy's friend Leslie (Grossman)from college, and dad is Gary Moore.

Maryland Girl

We went out for lunch yesterday, crabs at Costas Inn in Dundalk. Kacy is clearly a Maryland baby; she was more interested in having crab than her mac n cheese. Daddy did all of the hard work...

You want me to do what exactly, Daddy? Hold a crab?

Okay.
