2nd Annual Clark's Farm Visit

We had such a good time at Clark's Elioak Farm in Ellicott City last year with Jack and his parents, that we went back again this year and added to the gang. Kacy and John Scot enjoyed riding in JS' fun wagon.

The three musketeers with Humpty Dumpty.

Jack checking out the Three Little Bears' house.

Kacy confusing a swan with a chicken. Hey, it works.

This is what happens when you try to get three kids under 2 to pose together on a swan.

Kacy and the Crooked Man.

Again, trying (unsuccessfully) for another shot of the three kids together, in the mouth of the whale this time.
Kacy holding Baby Ella, who also joined in on the fall fun.

Finally, time to pick out the perfect pumpkin. While not officially a pumpkin patch (in my opinion--just a ton of small, Kacy-size pumpkins strewn around a field, not a vine in sight) the size made it conducive for the kids to easily pick up and carry their choices.

Weekend Adventures

Saturday we enjoyed the beautiful October weather by getting Kacy used to the idea of a "big girl bike". She can reach the peddles, though hasn't mastered pedaling itself. But she likes being pushed. She also liked pushing Daddy.

Sunday morning, post-sleepover with John Scot. They were oh-so-thrilled to have me snapping pics during cartoons.

Later Sunday, we met up with Aunt Lacey and Uncle Nate in Chantilly, VA, where they were for a wedding. (At this point, shouldn't they be considered Virginia residents?) We found a fun playground to hang out at. Lacey particularly enjoyed the contraption that she is laying on. We don't know what it's called.

Doing a little rock wall climbing with Uncle Nate. It was even taller than him!

Fall Fun in La Plata

Kacy got dressed in her leopard print best for dinner at the club on Friday night. Yes, those shoes ARE real haircalf. Thanks, DJP. We love samples.

On Saturday, mom and Kacy went to La Plata to visit the Bouets--mom's friend Jean, her parents (Abu and Abuelito) and her nephew, Andrew.
Riding in the wagon with Andrew.
Jumping in Abuelito's trailer.

Waiting for the ice cream truck...calling for the ice cream truck. But the Bouet's street got no ice cream truck love.

On Sunday, we went to a pumpkin patch in La Plata.

Kacy demonstrating how a chicken sounds (and walks).
Chasing chickens....

Petting a sheep....

Andrew led us around the maze. He did a pretty good job!

One, two, three....

...and jump!

Duo jump.

Abuelito picked up a chicken and handed it to Andrew. Kacy of course wanted a turn. Why should she be afraid of a chicken?

Trying for the handoff.
Almost there...
...but the chicken gets dropped.

So Kacy went for try #2, picked the chicken off herself and started walking. As if we had found a new pet. Kacy, the chicken thief.
(No chickens or Kacys were harmed in the making of these photos. These clearly are chickens well-used to being manhandled by people, all in the name of some kernels of corn they get thrown.)
