Santa Comes to Play

Santa arrives at Kacy's babysitter this morning during their holiday party.

Kacy's friend Noah waits for the big man.
Kacy is very used to sitting on Santa's lap. She told him she has been a good girl this year.

Giving Santa a kiss.

One more time on Santa's lap, this time for a gift.

Dancing with Mrs. Claus.

Santa Drive By

And the decorating is done...Sam (aka Black Cat) enjoyed having miscellaneous decorating items on the dining room table during the process.

Wednesday night, Santa and Mrs. Claus made their annual tour of the neighborhood.

On a fire truck!

The Mommy Birthday Edition--Kacy and Santa's 3rd Get-Together

Kacy and mom hit the yacht club for their annual Christmas party for the kids. She loved her new Santa hat, though it was a bit top-heavy for her little melon.
The Howard County Ballet performed excerpts of The Nutcracker for the crowd. Kacy loved visiting the Sugar Plum Fairy and Clara.

Finding her ornament on Grandma and Grandpa's Fleet Captain tree.

Santa makes his grand arrival on the island...

When her time came to sit with Santa, she went with the generic "presents" request.

Last night, Kacy tried on some Donald J Pliners. Not quite her size. But she does love shoes.

Santa Visit #2

Kacy was very excited to see Santa again on Saturday, this time at the College Park Aviation Museum.

Trying on a bomber jacket...
Adding the glasses, just for fun.

With her friend John Scot Wolfe.

Waiting on the observation deck for Santa to make his arrival.

Here he is, making his approach in a police helicopter.

Safe landing!

John Scot takes his turn telling Santa what he hopes is under the tree this year.

Kacy, nearly a seasoned pro, has upped the request ante a bit, asking for a "bicycle" instead of simply "toys".

This is the "official" picture taken by the museum.

We headed outside to play on the ride-on airplanes.

Gobble, Gobble

Thanksgiving Eve, 2008. Perhaps a new Horne family tradition has been started--full on Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday. Kacy holding a freshly-carved leg. We had grand designs for a photo shoot but alas this was the best we could get from her.
A quick horsie ride before dinner.

Aunt Mary and her nieces and nephew.

Post-dinner, a little trio action on the piano.

Time for pumpkin pie, though Kacy was much more interested in the whip cream.

Kacy hopes everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving!!! She is thankful for all her blog friends.
PS Kacy had her 2 year checkup, vital stats are:
26 lbs
34 inches
50th percentile for both height and weight
