A Beautiful Saturday

Kacy, mom and dad headed to Laurel on Saturday to take part in Grant Wolfe's baptism.

Grant and The Godfather (he is working on his Marlon Brando voice. Comes out bests after being at a Ravens game and it's good and raspy.)

Kacy and John Scot.

Grant was amazing during the brief baptism, finally conking out near the end.

Baptism cake time!

Dustin, Amy and Grant.

Uncle Keith, cousin Helena, Grant and Aunt Flo.

A close up of Grant and his Aunt Flo.

The weather was just too nice not to take Grandma and Grandpa up on an offer for a boat ride. We rode with them for BYC's annual Fleet Review.

Co-piloting with Grandpa.

The motion of the boat almost always knocks Kacy right out. She even slept through two loud horn honks, saluting the outgoing commodore.

Sunday morning Kacy and dad built a zoo with Lincoln Logs. Her Diego figurine played the part of zookeeper. It even had a monkey house.

Happy fall, Kacy fans!!!

Flower Girl Trifecta

Kacy rounded out her three-time flower girl experience on Saturday, at Liz and Kenny Romaniello's wedding in Stamford, CT. She loved her gift from the bride, a wooden magnetic dress up doll. And there is Elmo, who was like a 6th bridesmaid all day.
Kacy dressed and ready to do her flower girl best. She did refuse to wear her beautiful crown of roses.

Checking out Liz's dress.

She has her (well, mom's but she procured it) purse and is ready for the day.

Letting Caroline brush her hair (a bit).

Holding mommy's bouquet.

Kacy picked a dandelion from the yard and thought mommy should add it to her bouquet.

First time in a limo, and Kacy is checking out the stash.

Maids and flower girl, ready to roll out.

Making her way down the aisle.

Post-wedding wrap up with mom.

Kacy with the pretty bride at the reception.

A photo with the newlyweds, classy red stir stick and all.

Chowing down at the cocktail hour with daddy. She was a hungry girl.

Dancing with Caroline at the reception.

Kacy is on a flower girl hiatus, after a whirlwind 18 months and three weddings. She is so happy to have been able to share in Kenny and Liz's very special day. She stayed up way past her bed time, danced her heart out and made mommy and daddy very proud.

More Adventures with Boots and GrandDan

We met up with Boots and GrandDan in Williamsburg late last week at the Harrod compound, to kick of the holiday weekend. We spent some time at Colonial Williamsburg, and Kacy liked catching up with the horses.

Mom and Kacy in the stocks...Uh oh.

Visiting with a Colonial person.

Playing with Colonial dirt.

Kacy and Susie made up a cheer for Boots and GrandDan's arrival. Here Kacy does a redo for the camera.

On August 30th, B&G celebrated 40 years of marriage. We celebrated (a few days later) with a yummy cake from Ukrops.

Kacy insisted that the crab plate had to be in the pictures. Perhaps she knew it would be the theme of the weekend: How much crab could we get B&G to eat before heading back to Arizona?

B&G with Byron and Kacy.

Finally Susie made it in for a photo op.

B, G, mom and Kacy all drove back to Maryland together, in time for a boat ride with Grandma and Grandpa.

To help boost the economy, we hit the stores yesterday. Daddy and Kacy found this dalmatian costume to occupy them while mom and Boots shopped. (She will not be a dalmation for Halloween, just for the record. Think ruby red slippers and a little dog.)
